Annual Gala

The Maryvale Gala is our signature annual fundraising event—a joyful and elegant evening that brings together alumni families, friends, and supporters to celebrate and invest in the mission of Maryvale Academy. Each year, guests enjoy a beautiful program featuring fine dining, music, student highlights, auctions, entertainment, and dancing, all in support of faithfully Catholic education.

The Gala is a treasured opportunity to connect with fellow members of the Maryvale community, express gratitude for our dedicated teachers and staff, and celebrate the academic and spiritual growth of our students. Most importantly, it raises essential funds that sustain the continued success and mission of our school.

Hike-a-thon

Each year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Maryvale students participate in our Hike‑a‑Thon fundraiser. In the weeks leading up to the event, students gather sponsors in friendly competition to support the work of the school. The day of the 8-km hike begins with Mass sung by the Maryvale choir, grounding the community in prayer before setting out on the scenic trek through the forest. Refreshments for sustenance are provided, and at mid‑day students, families and teachers pause for a picnic lunch together before the group completes the last leg of the hike, and everyone heads home.

The Hike‑a‑Thon is a fun blend of community, outdoor adventure, and shared purpose—an annual reminder of the spirit of the Maryvale family.

Grandfriends Day

Each November, Maryvale Academy joyfully welcomes the grandparents, godparents, and special friends of our students for Grandfriends Day, a cherished annual tradition. This event invites our extended community into the daily life of the school as students share their learning, showcase their work, and express heartfelt gratitude for the important people who support them. Guests enjoy an afternoon tea while taking in student presentations and experiencing firsthand our mission of forming children in academic excellence and spiritual growth. The celebration offers a beautiful opportunity to witness the talents of our students, connect with the broader Maryvale community, and reflect on the good work God is accomplishing in and through our school.

Grandfriends Day is a joyful occasion of excellence, appreciation, and a sense of shared mission.
