This year’s Gala theme is “For Love of You”. This phrase leads us into a timely celebration of the 100th anniversary of Fatima apparitions. It is taken from Mary’s words to the children at Fatima:
“Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially when you make some sacrifice: O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary…”
The love for Christ, as taught to us by Mary, can be extended to love for our spouses, families and neighbours. It also leads us towards a celebration of love at our Gala, which takes place just before the feast day of St. Valentine.
